Human monkeys are an amazing specie, capable of all kinds of extremes. Stupidity is their most favorite. In this case however, it’s just sheer courage and endurance. Wow.

Running the equivalent of two marathons, every single day, for 111 days, with day time temperatures hovering over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and night time temperatures below freezing. Sound like a good time?
Apparently it did for three ultra-endurance athletes from the United States, Canada and Taiwan, who recently became the first modern runners to cross the Sahara Desert’s grueling 4,000 miles on foot. Having completed the journey, Charle Engle, the US runner, said, “It will take time to sink in … but this is an absolutely once in a life time thing. They say ignorance is bliss, and now that I know how hard this is, I would never consider crossing the Sahara on foot again.”
